Here in these three sloka Vyasa maharishi, who is the author of  Srimad Bhagavadgeeta, put maximum effort to show the ignorance, of public in those days! Lord Krishna narrates the details of truth brilliantly. Here people who take the shelter of  'Karma' kandam ( part ) of Veda and live in a imaginary world. Lord  says  : "Pushpitam-vacam-pravdantiya-vipascitah"  ( Fool's Sweet, tender attractive words), these adjectives are certainly  the clear proof  to show the ignorance of people those days. In the ancient days, openly criticising these kind of fanatic people is appreciable.

The greed towards sensuous pleasures, and profits, made them loss of intelligence, live in the world of  imaginations. These pleasure seeking people talks of karmakandam of vedas. They, to fulfil their ambitions followed and practiced vedic activities. They truly misused the principle of karmakandam of veda, for their selfish motives. They could not see the supreme goal of life is something else.

They believe that practicing karmakandam of veda may surely give results, so that they may attain heaven after death. They further day-dream that at heaven they enjoy all pleasures. Lord says : They do not realise that one who immersed in earthly pleasures cannot get concentration of mind, thereafter cannot gain inner silence to reach the goal of connecting Paramatma. Further, Krishna continues to Arjuna : For spiritual progress all these karma ( above said ) are not helpful, that is useless and unimportant religious rituals. Without trying for the goal, without knowing the path towards the goal, living in the fools paradise is pity!

Now about Veda and Karma-kandam, : "It is just route for Vedantham only. The actual path is  : by practicing meditation one can certainly reach the target -the Goal -Paramatma and Jeevatma union." The contents of vedantham is the debate of this only.  The use of Karma-kandam of Veda is to develop the inner purity and leads the Jeevatma towards higher level of Vedantham. Without knowing this truth, assuming the route ( practicing karmakandam )   as the aim and live in the ignorance is fool's action only.  Veda should be followed without any selfish motives, if so, then thereafter seeker gets clear path towards Paramatma .

Those who live in sensuous pleasures through out their life, : loss of intelligence, and loss of mental peace .......end miserably.
