CHAPTER:-3

KARMAYOGAM-

SLOGAM-40

INDRIYANI  MANO  BUDDHI  RASYADISHTANAM  UCYATE

ETYIER  VIMOHAYATYESHA  JNANAM  AVRUTYA DEHINAM

Kamam depends upon five senses, mind[nature of imagination], buddhi [enthusiastic intelligence]. Kamam or lust or thirst or desires manipulate the above, indriya, mind, buddhi, to enjoy the objects. This kamam creates misunderstandings to Atma by encircling the jnanam of the Atma.

SLOGAM-41.

TASMATMI  INDRIYANIYADAU  NIYAMYA  BARTARSHABA

PAPANAM  PRAJAHI  HYENAM  JNANA  VIJNANA  NASAM.

Hence Arjuna you first control indriya, then completely overcome this kamam[ which has overpowered your jnanam [knowledge]  and vijnanam [supreme knowledge].
